The Ministry of Defense of Poland appealed to the US government with a request to increase US military contingent on the territory of the Poland, TVP reports.
Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak stated that Warsaw and Washington are already negotiating details on this issue.
In turn, the negotiations will be completed by the end of 2019: than it will be possible to substantively consider the date of enlargement of the American contingent in Poland.
According to Błaszczak, the deployment of US troops in Poland will strengthen the country’s armed forces capabilities.
As The Journalist reported, Poland had expressed hope that Volodymyr Zelensky would bring Ukraine closer to NATO and the EU.
