The Security Service of Ukraine has detained an accomplice of terrorists of the so-called «Donetsk People’s Republic» (DPR) at Boryspil International Airport while he was attempting to leave for a country in the Middle East, – the press service of the SBU reported.
The Employees of the special services participating in the Joint Forces Operation found out that a Donetsk businessman had established cooperation with terrorists for unimpeded road haulage between checkpoints in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region.
«As a token of gratitude, the businessman has provided militants with vehicles for transportation and fuel. In addition, the merchant monthly transferred from RUB 20,000 to 30,000 to one of the «deputies» of the so-called «DPR People’s Council» for the assistance,» – the SBU reported.
The detainee was informed of suspicion for committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Investigative and operational actions are under way.
