Plane carrying IMF’s director Lagarde makes emergency landing in Argentina due to a drop in cabin pressure

An American Airlines flight carrying International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde, made an emergency landing in Argentina.

As it became known, the plane which was destined for the Miami (US) was forced to return to the Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza international airport due to the leakage of fuel and a drop in cabin pressure. None of the passengers were injured.

Lagarde was returning from Argentina to the US after attending the G20 meeting of finance ministers and central bank presidents, which was held in Buenos Aires on July 21-22, TASS news agency reported.

As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian An-26 plane forced to land in Egypt and the crew was hospitalized due to the accident.
