The bus going from Kiev to Tallinn with 53 passengers from Ukraine, Moldova and Russia on board, has overturned in Belarus.

This was reported by the Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk Region Executive Committee Department of Belarus on its website.

The message stated that on August 2 at 4.30 a.m., the international tourist bus rolled over the road in the Orsha district.

«The driver fell asleep and the bus ran into a luminescent support on the 186th km of the M8 motorwayб near the village of Svetochyovka. The bus toppled sideways into the ditch in the course of the traffic. At least 12 people were taken to the hospital for assessment of physical condition, 8 of them have already been examined by doctors and released from the hospital,» – the message said.

According to the doctors, none of the passengers suffered serious damage and they do not need to be hospitalized.

«Police officers and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations organized the delivery of the passengers to the hotel, where they were provided with necessary assistance. It was promised that a backup bus will come to Orsha from the city of Lida, and the tourists will continue the trip, accompanied by the traffic police. While studying the tachograph it was clarified that the shift change of bus drivers was supposed to happen at 5.00 a.m.,» the report said.
