Police detained 38 participants in the "’yellow vests’ rally in the city of Mons (Belgium), Le Soir informs.
It is reported that about a hundred ‘yellow vests’ protesters illegally held a demonstration in the city of Mons, which turned into riots.
In particular, the protesters staged a riot near the house of the former Prime Minister of the country and the head of the Socialist Party, Elio Di Rupo.
It is noted that as a result of illegal actions, the police detained 38 protesters.

"Our employees conducted 38 administrative arrests after several incidents, including firecrackers which damaged the mailbox of the house of Elio Di Rupo," said in the police statement.

As The Journalist reported, hundreds of thousands of people took to the protest in Rome.
