The UK Government could impose martial law in the event of no-deal Brexit, in order to prevent chaos in the country, Deutsche Welle reports with reference to The Sunday Times in London.

It is noted that the government is currently discussing the feasibility of applying the Emergency Act of 2004, which allows to impose curfews, confiscate property, travel bans and use armed forces to quell unrest.

Under such circumstances, the government in London will also be entitled to amend any legislation with the exception of the Human Rights Act.

The dominant theme in all matters is relating to planning in case of the chaotic Brexit – the civil disobedience and the fear that it can lead to death in the event of a shortage of food and medicine," writes the publication.

It is also noted that the government in London is seeking to extend working hours for parliamentarians to complete the development of legislation on Brexit before the UK leaves the EU scheduled for March 29.

As The Journalist reported, a significant part of the United Kingdom citizens do not believe in the Holocaust.
