«All five of the participants in the attack were under 18 years of age. All the attackers are residents of the Shalinsky district: one – 2000, two – 2001, and also 2002 and 2006 years of birth», report says.

The attackers of 2002 and 2006 were brothers – both killed.

It became known that the first attack was carried out in the city of Shali, 30 kilometers from Grozny. Two men attacked police station with knives. As a result, two policemen were injured, both assailants were killed. In addition, in the village of Mesker-Yurt, a young man with a backpack approached the police post and committed a self-explosion. Also, at the entrance to Grozny, a Mercedes car without numbers tried to break through the checkpoint without inspection and bring down the traffic inspector. During chase, driver shot down two road inspectors, and car was fired from automatic rifles. As a result, both assailants in car were killed.
