In the Czech Republic, a monument was opened in honor of soldiers of Ukrainian People’s Republic (UNR). About this informs Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Czech Republic Yevhen Perebiņšnis on his Twitter page.
Monument was opened on September 6 in Liberec in the north of Czech Republic.
It is worth noting that the monument is not new, it is more than 90 years old, it was created in 1927 according to the project of the artist Vasiliy Kasiyan. Serious reconstruction work has been done to it.
«To eternal memory. Fighters of Ukrainian Galician Army for freedom and good of their people, which were thrown out by enemies from their native roof, fell here», – is written on the plate under the monument.
