Law enforcers detained a man in Chernihiv who was engaged in the sale of narcotic drugs. During the searches of the premises where the drug dealer lived, illegal drugs, weapons, ammunition and a considerable amount of money were confiscated. About this informs press service of the National Police in Chernihiv oblast.
Police officers found that the detainee had been engaged in drug sales for about six months. Malefactor was detained during the completion of his next deal. Special unit of police KORD was involved in detention.
«At the place of residence of the detainee and in his office premises, authorized searches were carried out. During this investigative action, the police seized nearly a kilogram of prohibited substances: mainly amphetamine, as well as marijuana and narcotic salts. Also, devices and containers for accurate dispensing of drugs were withdrawn for the purpose of selling to numerous clients, and a considerable amount of money in domestic and foreign currency equivalent to 80 thousand hryvnias. According to preliminary estimates, the total value of the «black market» seized at prices is about one million hryvnias», report said.
Production of part 1 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal manufacture, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) is opened, which provides imprisonment for a term of four to eight years.
