On the territory of the 6th Arsenal of the Ministry of Defense near Ichnia (Chernihiv Oblast), were already extinguished 37 fires; in particular 0.9 hectares of forest decking burned the day before. This is reported by UNN news agency.
«Rescue units were three times involved in extinguishing of the fire in the forest near the town of Druzhba and the village of Avhustivka on a total 0.9 hectares. Since the beginning of the rescue work, 37 fires have been eliminated (1 at the facility, 9 in the residential sector, 27 in the forest),» – the department said.
The report notes that about 1157 explosive items were found around the arsenal over the past day. Since the beginning of rescue work, 9578 explosive items have been seized.
As The Journalist reported, two men in camouflage was spotted moving around the technical area on the eve of the explosions in Ichnia.
