The Executive Committee of the Chernivtsi City Council decided to increase fare in public electric transport by 1.5 times (from UAH 2 to UAH 3 per trip) from August 1, of this year.
Some 8 members of the executive committee voted for the relevant decision (in total, 12 members were included in the executive committee), UNIAN news agency reports.
The draft resolution provides provides the fare in trolleybuses at night time (from 11:00 p.m. to 05.00 a.m.) in the amount of UAH 8 per trip, regardless of the form of payment. At the same time, discounts and benefits for travel in trolleybuses at night will not apply to any preferential category of citizens.
The decision provides the fare in trolleybuses for university students and students of vocational schools for 2 UAH per trip during the academic year.
However, the journey in trolleybuses for pupils of schools is set at UAH 1 per trip, for the period of the academic year.
As «The Journalist» reported, since July 14, the cost of travel rises to all types of public transport in Kiev.
