FC decided to change its name in honor of the head of the White House. This was done as a gratitude to US President Donald Trump for decision to relocate the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Now the name of the FC is «Beitar «Trump» Jerusalem».
«For 70 years has Jerusalem been awaiting international recognition, until President Donald Trump, in a courageous move, recognized Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel», – stated in the message.
FC «Beitar» is the only Israeli club which in its history has never signed an Arab player.
They are currently second in the table of the champions of Israel.
