The MAIN Group Ukraine company will build a 85 MW solar power plant worth EUR 90 million in Dnipro, the press service of the Dnipro City Council reported.
The relevant agreement was reached during a meeting of the Dnipro Mayor Boris Filatov with the leaders of the company.
The construction of a power plant with a design capacity of 85 MW will start in 2019 on the outskirts of the city, near the Igreni residential area.
«It will be one of the most powerful solar power plants in Ukraine. We transfer 175 hectares of land for rent for 25 years for the construction of the station,» Filatov said.
According to specialists, the station will be able to provide electricity to about 180 thousand households, several large neighborhoods. The project will create 200 new jobs.
It also became known that the MAIN Group Ukraine company plans to attract Indian partners to the construction of a solar power plant in the Dnipro.
