23 people killed during demonstration in Ethiopia

The rally was held near Addis Ababa on the occasion of the return to the country the leaders of the Oromo Liberation Front (OLF), a formerly-banned rebel party which leading the four-year revolt for the self-determination of Ethiopia’s largest ethnic group. This is reported by the Korrespondent news agency.

As it became known, near the capital of Ethiopia in the ethnic center of Oromo the riots occurred, during which at least 23 people were killed. In addition, the Police detained about 400 people on charges of violence, half of whom were later arrested.
