The Security Service officials have established that the prosecutor of local public prosecutors’ offices of Kolomyia demanded USD 300 from the father of the accused in criminal proceedings. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine.
It is reported that in the city of Kolomiya, the prosecutor extorted a bribe from the relatives of a person, accused of assisting in deciding imposing a punishment not related to a real deprivation of liberty.
«After the prosecutor received a bribe of USD 300, he was detained by law enforcers,» – the report said.
It is noted that the prosecutor is charged under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Bribe-Taking). Investigative and procedural actions continue.
