In the city of Santa Ana (California, US), a light motor aircraft crashed into the parking lot. In the result of the accident, five people were killed. This is reported by Associated Press agency.
The plane was heading to the airport. When the accident occurred, the aircraft was one and a half kilometers from the John Wayne airport (South California). As a result of the crash, no one on the ground was reported injured.
Law enforcement officers blocked the streets, leading to the shopping center South Coast Plaza, located near the site of the accident.
