Today, September 21, on the eve of the meeting of deputies in parliament under the building of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine held a rally. According to participants of event, they urged people’s representatives not to cooperate with the «mouthpieces of the Kremlin», in particular, they talked about TV channels Inter, 112 and NewsOne.

«If there is Russian propaganda, it’s not about freedom of speech. Freedom of speech exists so that people have free access to information in order to make their own vision. But at moment, in my opinion, this harms the person, moreover, at moment thousands of dead (5 thousand people) in the east of Ukraine, because there is a war. And Russian propaganda harms state, information security of country, this is not freedom of speech», said acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulana Suprun.

According to initiators of action, goal of their event is to explain to citizens that the activities of these TV channels jeopardize information security of our state.

«Today we held an information flash mob, during which we primarily call on people’s deputies, journalists and public to refuse cooperation with mouthpieces of Russian propaganda, which are television channels Inter, 112 and NewsOne in Ukraine. During these actions our television channels try to reduce everything to fact that this is an attack on freedom of speech. Therefore, I note that this is not an attack on freedom of speech, it is an ordinary matter of information security during the Russian-Ukrainian war, because it undermines our security», said activist Dmytro Zhmailo.

Activists urged Ukrainians not to watch television broadcasts of these channels.
