The aircraft carrier, completely built by the Chinese industry, leaves the Dalian shipyard on August 27. The first step of sea trials is to check the engine, communication systems, navigation, and other electronic and mechanical equipment. This is reported by UNN news agency.
It is reported that the aircraft carrier was built in China, whose tests set out its maiden sea.
It is noted that after the tests it will be delivered to the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy.
It is worth noting that the ship has no official name yet, but it was dubbed «Shandong» in the press.
«The new aircraft carrier design draws on experiences from the first Chinese aircraft carrier, the CNS Liao¬ning, which was created on the basis of a converted former Soviet heavy aircraft carrier Varyag bought second-hand from Ukraine,» – the report said.
