The report notes that finance for the modernization of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK) is $ 13 billion, with 90% of the money planned to receive from private capital.
The project assumes that the number of terminals will be increased from eight to ten. They are also modernizing security systems, optimizing access roads, a more centralized scheme for traveling to the airport by ground public transport.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2025.
«While our leadership in Washington is talking about infrastructure investments, we are actually doing this at a historically high level, since turning the John F. Kennedy Airport into a 21st century transportation hub will ensure the preservation of New York as the gateway to the (American) people into the world», said Cuomo.
