The KNM Helge Ingstad frigate collided with the Sola TS tanker during NATO’s Trident Juncture strategic exercises off Norway.
According to NRK Norwegian broadcaster, referring to the rescuers, seven people were injured in the incident.
According to rescuers, a total of 137 people were on board the frigate, which is lost control and drift towards the shore. After the evacuation, just ten people stayed on board.
About 23 people were on board of the tanker.
The police reported that there was no threat of flooding the vessel. The causes of the incident are being investigated.
