Today, July 23, Odesa law enforcers began checking the information about the mass poisoning of children in kindergarten #135 (Chernyakhovsky st.), as reported by the press service of the National Police in Odesa Oblast.
As it became known, the check is started in connection with the information appeared in social networks about poisoning of 50 children in the pre-school facility, located in the Primorsky district of the city.
«For the purpose of comprehensive and objective verification of information, the data was documented in accordance with the law,» – the head of the department said.
According to the head of Odesa City Administration Education and Culture Department Olena Buynevych, the kindergarten was closed. At present, staff of all relevant services are working in the facility. Sanitization is carried out.
«On Friday, July 20, after lunch, in total 16 children felt unwell – they was complaining about stomach ache. One child was hospitalized in an infectious disease hospital with suspected rotavirus infection, but there are no medical test results so far,» – Buynevych said.
According to the parents, the children had vomiting, diarrhea, etc.
As The Journalist reported, a dysentery diagnosis was confirmed in almost 60 people from the summer camp «Orlyatko».
