It is also noted that ten US states (Washington, Wisconsin, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Kansas, Oregon and Pennsylvania) have already recognized the Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide.
Recall that in Ukraine were three famines in the 20th century: 1921-1923, 1932-1933, 1946-1947. At the same time, the status of the Holodomor has only the genocide of 1932-1933. Events of 1921-1923 and 1946-1947 are qualified as a mass famine, the genocidal nature of which has not yet been proven.
INFO: The Holodomor lasted 17 months – from April 1932 to November 1933. Researchers have not yet decided on the number of victims: they reported the numbers from 1.8 to 10 million. Most experts believe that from 3 to 3.5 million people died from hunger.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, that another US State, Kansas, recognizes Holodomor as genocide against Ukrainian people.
