As «The Journalist» reported, Trump announces US withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres said he is extremely upset over the US decision to withdraw from the the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on Iran’s nuclear program and to reinstating economic sanctions on Tehran.
The UN chief called on other participants of this agreement to honor their respective commitments and and resolve any disagreements using special mechanisms, reports UN News.
On July 20, 2015, the Security Council adopted a resolution which approved the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action to resolve the situation around the Iranian nuclear program. Under its terms, Iran pledged not to manufacture or acquire nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
