A bill on mine action in Ukraine will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada this week, said member of the Committee on National Security and Defense Iryna Fryz.
According to her, the purpose of the working trip to Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts was, in particular, to check the state of the provision of troops in the area of the the Joint forces operation, as well as the situation with the demining of the territory in the context of the draft law that was prepared jointly with the Ministry of Defense and foreign partners.
«We got acquainted with the work on demining, which is carried out near the Emergency State Emergency Service of Luhansk oblast. Conclusion: the legislative settlement of the issue of mine action must be completed without further delay and demagogy. There are a lot of works, and for its successful conduct, appropriate legislative conditions must be created. On the spot, I was convinced of the effectiveness of the norms laid down in the draft law, and we will confidently introduce it to the parliament next week», Fryz wrote.
According to the calendar plan, the next week is the last week of the eighth session of the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation (February-July), the plan provides for the work of deputies in committees, commissions and factions.
As «Journalist» reported, Verkhovna Rada allocated 1.4 billion UAH for support of state coal mines.
