NATO launches large-scale exercises Anakonda 2018 in Poland, Baltic countries

NATO begins large-scale exercises Anakonda-2018 on November 7. The military will practice countries’ capabilities to respond to the emerging military threats, including conventional and hybrid warfare. This was reported by the press service of the operational command of the Anakonda 2018.
The report notes that the exercise will consist of two phases: the first will be held on November 7-16 and will consist of military exercises (LIVEX), and the second will be held on November 26 – December 6 in the form of Command Post Exercise (CPX).
In addition to Poland, units of the US Armed Forces, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia and a NATO multinational battalion, under the leadership of Canada, will take part in the exercises. The event will be held at landfills in Poland and the Baltic countries, in international airspace and the Baltic Sea.
