Almost 47,000 citizens of Ukraine were denied to enter Poland in 2018, Polskie Radio informs.
“According to the Main Commandant’s Office of the Border Guard Service, last year Polish border guards issued 77,200 refusals of entry to Poland. Most of them were issued on the border with Ukraine (48.8 thousand), with Belarus (almost 26,000) and on the border with Russia (1.3 thousand). Most often, citizens of Ukraine (46.7 thousand), Russia (20.2 thousand) and Belarus (5.5 thousand) were denied crossing the border,” the message said.
The main reasons for refusal of entry into the country were the lack of a valid visa or residence document, the lack of documents confirming the purpose of entry and the lack of necessary funds.
In addition, the Polish border guards also conducted 3,600 checks on the legality of employment. The check showed that more than 12,000 foreigners are violating the rules. Among those who most often violated the rules were citizens of Ukraine (19.6 thousand people), Moldova (400), Belarus (370) and Georgia (246).
As The Journalist reported, the Ukrainian language will appear in ticket machines in Warsaw.
