The members of Braga municipality (Portugal) recognized Holodomor 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people, Golos Ukrainy reported.
«A tragic fate of Ukraine was one of many issues which the deputies of Braga Municipality discussed. With the majority of votes they have recognized Holodomor 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people. The official results on the positions of local party cells will be published, but it is known that the communists voted against,» – the news agency reported.
As «The Journalist» reporte, US state Ohio declared the 2018 as the year of the memory of the victims of the Holodomor-Genocideof 1932-1933.
