Wizz Air company plane, which flies from the Polish city of Gdansk to Stavanger, Norway, urgently returned to the airport, because shortly after taking off it was struck by lightning.
According to the Polish TV channel tvn24, the plane departed from Poland at 6:55 local time. It is noted that the pilot acted quickly and correctly, because it managed to save the lives of all passengers and crew members.
“Observing safety measures, the aircraft was returned to Gdansk. Landing took place without problems, "- said in a statement.
Emergency landing was carried out 10 minutes after takeoff.
The airport administration has reported that the aircraft will undergo a mandatory technical inspection.
