Ambassador of Ukraine to Georgia Igor Dolgov said that the documents for visa-free regime between Ukraine and Georgia have already been approved by the Ukrainian side and handed over to the Georgian side.

It is noted that the delegations planned to sign the agreement in New York at the UN General Assembly, UNIAN news agency reports.

«We received confirmation that the text of the agreement on the travel of citizens using internal passports was agreed upon by the involved authorities of the Ukrainian side. This document was officially sent to the Georgian Foreign Ministry. Now the Government must decide sign it and to authorize a certain person to sign this agreement,» – the diplomat said.

According to the Ambassador, both sides are already working on preparing the signing of bilateral documents.

Recall that the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly (UN) in New York will be held in the second half of September.
