The video footage showing the moment of helicopter crash in the morning of September 6 in Kyiv was posted on YouTube channel. Probably, it was made by one of the eyewitnesses who took the event. The video was published by the Youtube user Irina Balachuk and shows the helicopter maneuvers in the air a few seconds before it crashed on the territory of Kyiv’s Trukhaniv Island.
According to the Kyiv’s Prosecutors Office, the 62-year-old pilot and 70-year-old pilot, both suffered in the civilian helicopter crash and are in the hospital now.
On this fact, the proceedings were started under Part 2 of Art. 276 (Violation of rules related to safety of traffic or operation of air transport) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It also became known that the helicopter is owned by OJSC Myronivskyi Khliboprodukt.
