Pyongyang hold a military parade on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of North Korea, reports Reuters.
About 10,000 servicemen and tens of thousands of civilians were involved in the celebrations; North Korean heavy military equipment was demonstrated, but intercontinental and ballistic missiles of small and medium range were not involved in the parade.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un attended the parade, but did not address to the nation. Instead, the Head of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Kim Yong Nam, gave a speech.
It is noted that the absence of ballistic missiles at the parade in Pyongyang is related to the improvement of relations between the DPRK and the United States.
As The Journalist reported earlier, the DPRK needs to implement 47 requirements for denuclearization.
