Japanese journalist believed free from Al-Qaeda captivity in Syria

Japanese journalist Jumpei Yasuda, captured by Al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria three years ago has been freed. This is reported by Anadolu news agency.
It is reported that, the officials are waiting at the moment to confirm the identity of a man believed to be Jumpei Yasuda, who is at an immigration facility in the Turkish region of Antakya.
It is known that a Japanese journalist entered Syria through Turkey in 2015, and then have been captured by a group affiliated to al-Qaeda. The terrorists demanded USD 10 million for release of the journalist, but the Japanese government refused to pay the money.
As The Journalist reported, a convict in the case of the terrorist act of September 11, 2001 was released ahead of schedule in Germany.
