The court in Virginia postponed the sentencing of the former head of the election headquarters of Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, for an indefinite time. This was reported by Reuters.
It is reported that a federal judge in Virginia, Thomas Selby Ellis, postponed indefinitely the sentence to Paul Manafort.
According to the judge, he wants to postpone sentencing until a court in Washington decides that whether Manafort lied to US special prosecutor Robert Muller, who is investigating possible interference in the presidential elections in the United States in 2016.
Recall that the earlier announcement of the sentence was scheduled for February 8.
