The official Spokesperson of the US Department of States, Heather Nauert, has told about the results of the meeting between the US and Russian presidents. This is stated on the website of the Department.
It is reported, that the US Department of State is considering three proposals following the meeting in Helsinki.
First, a high-level working group with business leaders from both countries must be created.
Another thing that’s been proposed is convening some sort of an expert council which would include political scientists, diplomats, former diplomats, former military officials
Besides, there is a proposal to hold meetings between US National Security Council and the Security Council of Russia.
According to Nauert, all these proposals are «modest», but they are a pretty good place to start.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, the US Department of State will allocate $ 500 thousand to track transactions with Russian weapons around the world.
