The United States House of Representatives voted to block President Donald Trump’s declaration of a national emergency in the United States. This decision was backed by 245 US lawmakers, The New York Times reported.

Some 182 members of the House of Congress, mostly Republicans, voted against. Now the resolution will be passed to the Senate for voting. The US president warned that he would use his right of veto if state of emergency to be blocked. In this case, congressmen will need to collect two thirds of the votes against the declaration of the state of emergency in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
