As The Journalist reported, the former MP of Sumy City Council Zhuk was killed.
According to the National Police in the Sumy region, former deputy of the Sumy City Council and head of the department of Urban Development and Land Resources, Anatoly Zhuk, was shot in the back.
According to preliminary information, yesterday, at 7:12 p.m., on the police emergency line 102 has received a call from Zhuk’s father, who reported he found his son dead, with two bullet gunshot wounds to the head and back, in the yard of his own house in the Baransvka district. The police found a handgun on the crime scene not far from the body.
The Police have no more comments on the situation. The investigative and operational group was worked on the scene of crime, the circumstances of the incident are being established.
Anatoliy Zhuk, 35, was running for the post of Sumy mayor in 2014. Recently he was the Chairman of the public organization «Sumchane».
