Yesterday, on August 28th, to celebrate the 27th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine, Days of Cultural Dialogue between Ukraine and Iran were held in Tehran. This was reported by the press office of the Ukrainian Embassy in Iran..

Within the framework of Ukrainian-Iranian literary evening, initiated by Embassy of Ukraine in Iran in conjunction with the Center Book City, presentation of translations of Kateryna Krikoyuk from Ukrainian into Persian language of the story of Ukrainian writer Ivam Nechuy-Levitsky «Kaydasheva family», as well as collections of verses of modern Iranian poet I. Bagrami to Ukrainian language.

It is known that Kateryna Kriikonyuk is an alumnus of the KNU named after Taras Shevchenko. Translation activity of the girl is aimed at popularization of Ukrainian literary culture in Iran.

Employees of Embassy of Ukraine in Iran, Ukrainian society and members of their families, representatives of Ministry of Culture of Iran, Iranian literary critics, poets and public figures joined celebrations.
Adviser to Minister of Culture and Islamic Orientation Tabatabai in his welcoming speech, noted the urgency of «strengthening cultural, educational and scientific ties between Iran and Ukraine».
