The day before, on February 6, during Committee on Veterans and People with Disabilities meeting, it was decided to support the draft Law No. 9508 on amending the Law of Ukraine "On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection" regarding the "Unified State Register of War Veterans".
According to press service of BPP, the committee’s chairman Oleksandr Tretyakov noted that the creation of the register will make it possible to bring order to the veterans ’accounting system, find out their real number and make management decisions on enhance their social protection.
The committee also reviewed three draft laws 9428, 9428-1 and 9428-2 on amending the law “On the status of war veterans, guarantees of their social protection” regarding bringing its norms into line with the decision of Constitutional Court.
As the "Journalist" reported Ukrainian government has terminated the Agreement with Russia on the exchange of legal information.
