Almost 60 thousand cars with foreign registration are illegal in Ukraine

In Ukraine 57.9 thousand vehicles with foreign registration, imported this year in transit, are in the territory of the country with a violation of the period of stay, the press service of the State Fiscal Service.

«Since early 2018, 146.8 thousand vehicles of personal use with foreign registration in the «transit» mode were imported to Ukraine, 465.9 thousand – in the «temporary import» mode. Of the cars imported this year in the «transit» mode, 57.9 thousand vehicles with foreign registration are in Ukraine with a violation of the deadline», report said.
At the same time, it is noted that there are no statistics on cars imported in the «temporary import» mode, since the period of stay of these cars has not yet been completed.

At the same time, according to the SFS, the main importers of new cars in Ukraine in January-June 2018 imported 35.5 thousand cars, from which almost 7 billion UAH of customs payments were paid.
