State-owned concern Ukroboronprom said the information regarding the overhaul of two Kazakhstan An-26 airplanes in Ukraine, published in the TV program “Our Money” leading by Denis Bigus, is incorrect and manipulative.

“We emphasize that the information published by “Our Money” TV program has signs to be manipulative and is a manifestation of biased journalism,” the statement said.

The concern noted that the contract with a foreign customer provided for the installation of two sets of altimeters for two aircraft with three instruments each.

“Ukrainian aviation enterprises reported on absence of these altimeters. The only company that agreed to deliver these products was LLC AN-Service. We emphasize that we do not comment on the delivery of altimeter gauges to Ukraine, since the concern’s enterprises did not provide logistics services,” the statement said.

Ukroboronprom consider the journalist statement about the cost of goods as categorically incorrect because it has no "full understanding of all the nuances of the formation of customs value."

“The optimal purchase price is evidenced by the fact that the client country purchased these devices in Ukraine, and not from the manufacturer (the Russian Federation) which is its partner in the Customs Union and could offer its price,” the group said.

As The Journalist reported, a new part of the journalistic investigation on corruption in the Ukroboronprom was made public.
