Thousands of people protesting in Warsaw against hate and violence

In Warsaw, as well as in other cities of Poland, a protest action Stop Nienawiści (Stop Hate) take place after the death of the mayor of Gdansk, Paul Adamovich, RzeczPospolita.pl reports.
“We will protect Gdansk and Poland from hatred and violence,” said European Council President Donald Tusk.
The mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, has invited all city citizens to gathered at the Palace of Culture. Gradually, this meeting turned into a silent meeting of many thousands. People lit candles, brought posters and banners with the "Stop hate" slogan.
Similar actions against hatred and violence have been taking place in other Polish cities.
In memory of the mayor of Gdansk a three-day mourning from Jan 15 to Jan 17 has been declared in Warsaw.
As The Journalist reported, the mayor of Gdansk was stabbed during a charity concert.
