The executive committee of the city council of Vinnytsia revised the fares for fare in fixed-route taxis and decided to increase the cost of transportation in this type of public transport from 1st July to 5 and 6 UAH (depending on the length of the route).
According to the City Council, the reason for this decision was the rise in price of all components of the tariff.
«Today we have a difficult situation on the routes of the city. Already 6 carriers have refused from the transportation. Some carriers do not go on the route for the reason that there is no money to refuel vehicles and to pay drivers. By the way, drivers leave their jobs and go abroad, because we cannot pay them a normal salary. According to our calculations, which we submitted back in January, the optimal price for travel should be 7.8-8 UAH. But please raise at least 6 UAH»- said at the meeting of the executive committee chairman of the Association of private carriers of the city Route Aleksander Gota.
According to the decision of the city council executive committee, at night, the fare on route No. 25n (from 22:00 to 6:00) – will be 8 UAH
