A measles outbreak among the personnel of the military unit 3008 of the National Guard of Ukraine in the Vinnitsa oblast was recorded, TSN reports.
The first measles case was recorded there before the New Year, and now there are already 20 cases of measles.
“The National Guard has not its own specialized medical institution, so the soldiers were hospitalized to the Vinnitsa city hospital. Another four are being treated at the Khmelnitsky Raion Hospital. The diagnosis of measles has not yet been confirmed, they have a fever and a cough,” the report says.
According to the commander of the unit, Volodymyr Djuli, the soldiers could get infected on duty or while being in crowded places.
“My soldiers are serving in the oblast administration, in the city council, escorting, security in the halls, closed premises, there is constant contact with the population,” the commander explained.
As The Journalist reported, one person died, 12 hospitalized due to massive drug overdose in California.
