Lawyers of Viktor Yanukovych start a fight with police in the building of the Obolon District Court of Kyiv, where they had to pass a court hearing. This is reported by 112 Ukraine news agency.
In the hall of the Obolon Court occurred a conflict, caused by the denial of access for the Aver Lex lawyers to the court hearing. They made a stand against the participation in the court hearing of Yanukovych’s state attorney, Yuriy Ryabovol. The court security officers refused to let Vitaly Serdyuk and his colleagues into the courtroom, after which a skirmish with police starts.
«Unfortunately, the situation came that allegedly the lawyers of the defendant Yanukovych blocked access to the courtroom for the lawyer, appointed by the court. That is, they resorted to illegal actions, resistance to implementation of justice. In this regard, the court ruled out an appropriate order to provide access for the lawyer, which was performed. We carry out the order and will go on doing thus,» – said the head of the Obolon district police department, Mykhailo Nikonov.
Soon after a short conflict, the paid lawyers of Yanukovych were let inside the courtroom.
