The musician, the leader of the Golos party, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, stated that he did not intend to include in his party list of people’s deputies of the current convocation of Verkhovna Rada.
“If there is an old election system, we do not expect real changes from this system, and we will make them ourselves. Our list, I think so, and I will propose this to the party, should consist entirely of people, among whom there will be no active people’s deputies,” Interfax-Ukraine quotes Vakarchuk.
According to Vakarchuk, people’s deputies of the current convocation of parliament can try their hand at majoritarian districts.
“There are many good deputies who can have the same views as ours. I am sure that in majoritarian districts they will successfully convince their constituents by the results of their work for 5 years,” the party leader explained.
