Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov has restricted access to the buildings of the Verkhovna Rada until April 3 for all but the deputies, their assistants and employees of the apparatus.
This is stated in the decree “On additional measures to prevent the occurrence of acute respiratory illness.”
Thus, in order to prevent acute respiratory disease outbreak caused by the COVID-19 among MPs and employees of the Parliament, guided by Articles 88 of the Constitution of Ukraine, Paragraphs 7 and 8 of Article 78 of the Rules of Procedure, taking into account the quarantine period determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of 11 March 220, No.211 “On the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 in Ukraine”, the access to administrative buildings, structures and office premises of the Verkhovna Rada is restricted until April 3 for all persons, except for people’s deputies, employees of the Verkhovna Rada, assistant consultants to the people’s deputies, who work under a fixed-term contract on an ongoing basis.
The chairmen of the Verkhovna Rada committees, temporary special commissions, temporary investigative commissions of the Verkhovna Rada are instructed to hold meetings of these parliament bodies exclusively in the administrative buildings of the Verkhovna Rada.
Officials, scientists, experts, practitioners or members of the public invited to meetings of VR committees, temporary special commissions, temporary investigative commissions, took part in such meetings via videoconference, without direct admission to the administrative buildings, structures and office premises of VR.
Written or electronic applications of citizens will be accepted and processed, the personal reception of citizens by people’s deputies in the administrative buildings of the VR is suspended until April 3.
The presence in the parliament for separate accreditation of journalists and media technical workers is allowed exclusively in the premises of the press center located on the third floor of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine at Hrushevskogo Street, 5.
