The first deputy head of the Servant of the People faction, Oleksandr Kornienko, said that the Verkhovna Rada would not go into quarantine, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
“The Rada cannot quarantine. This is a body that must work constantly. We have experience this spring, when we slightly changed the calendar plan and worked in the format of extraordinary meetings,” Kornienko noted.
The parliamentarian also said that while the budget process is underway, and there are other tasks requiring urgent solutions, the parliament will work in the format of committees, extraordinary meetings, and a session calendar.
According to him, if there are sick people, the secretariats of the committees immediately go to self-isolation. Also in the building of the Verkhovna Rada, according to Kornienko, all anti-epidemiological measures are carried out, and during each break of the plenary session, the hall is disinfected with quartz lamp.
