Kyiv foresees the introduction of paid entrance to the centre to «unload» the streets

To solve the parking problem in Kiev, the Institute of General plan of Kyiv proposed to introduce a fee for entry to the city center, as well as creating a special Park and ride Parking to intercept cars.

According to the information, more than 900 thousand cars are registered in Kiev, 767 thousand of them are passenger cars.

Institute of General plan of Kyiv developed the scheme for placing garages and car parks in Kiev with the purpose to solve problem with parking in the capital. It provides for the release of street traffic from parking lots; reducing the number of cars entering the center; calculating places for intercepting parking lots; providing the citizens of Kiev with the necessary calculated and regulating parking spaces.

In addition, it is proposed to limit the construction of parking lots, set parking tariffs with an index of increase to the central zone, and gradually introduce paid entry into the central core of the city.

In addition, the solution of the transport problem in Kiev will be facilitated by the completion of the construction of the Podolsky bridge crossing and creation of additional approaches to Podolsky and Darnytskyi Bridges across the Dnieper River.

As «The Journalist» reported, on the Dilova St in Kiev the passage will be closed for a half of the year.
