Vice Prime Minister promised to raise minimum wages for Ukrainians from Jan 1, 2019

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has guaranteed increasing of the level of the minimum wages from January 1, 2019, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko said.

As the press service of the Government reports, the cause for such confidence became the level of growth of the national economy.

«I hope that 2.5-3% of economic growth will give us a reason to say that next year the resources for raising pensions and salaries will appear. I can give guarantee that from January 1, 2019, the minimum wage will be raised, as well as social standards,» – the Deputy Prime Minister said.

According to Rosenko, the level of the minimum wages (which will be set from the new year) will be at UAH 4200.

As The Journalist reported, Poroshenko stated that the economy is growing, inflation is falling, gold and foreign exchange reserves are increasing.
