An explosion occurred in the village of Berezovka (Zhytomyr oblast) on the territory of a private household. As a result of the incident, a 54-year-old man – the owner of the house – was injured. About this informs press center of the Main Department of the National Police of oblast.
According to preliminary information, a 120-mm ammunition of WWII times exploded on the territory of the household. As a result, the man suffered thermal burns of the hands, trunk and legs and was hospitalized.
In the shed law enforcement officers discovered a number of ammunition shells, among them mortar mines of the war years.
